Skiing and cozy family time in the North

Every year, many Danes travel north to the Scandinavian mountains in Sälen and Trysil, among others. But instead of traveling by ferry in a tightly packed car, you can hop on a direct SAS flight from Aalborg Airport and in just 1 hour and 20 minutes you can watch the view of the Swedish and Norwegian mountain landscapes. You can hardly even think “transport time” before you feel the snow under your feet and feel the fresh wind in your face as you speed down the many slopes.

In Sälen and Trysil you will find several wonderful ski areas, all of which offer fantastic slopes, cozy surroundings and a lot of activities for children and adults. In Sälen you can stay at a hotel, luxurious lodges, well-equipped apartments or cozy cabins. In Trysil you can also stay at one of the luxury hotels, where you don’t have to think about anything but skiing and chill with the family.

A ski holiday in the Scandinavian mountains has always been high on the list for ski-loving Danes – especially because of the cozy atmosphere you’ll find in the iconic beam cabins covered in a thick layer of snow.
