Napoli and the magical southern Italy

There are probably a lot of people who only know a little bit about Napoli, where the volcano Vesuvius reigns just 13 kilometers from the city center – and which is said to erupt at any time, as it did back in the year of 79, where the city of Pompeii disappeared in a cloud of stone and ash. However, this is by no means a concern in the biggest city of the southern Italy, which, apart from mid-day siesta, is a metropolis that never sleeps. Noise from a vespa or persistent street vendors drive around the clock, but at the same time you can easily feel the romantic and the almost magical outdoor life of South Italy.

Napoli is also a cultural melting pot after a turbulent and bloody history with a lot of different rulers with different nationalities and religions, which is why a visit to the city has a lot of exiting cultural experiences to offer. In addition, as a tourist, you can enjoy the southern Italian cuisine, which entails an authentic Italian love for food. It is also in Napoli that the pizza has its origins.

On the other side of the bay of Napoli, you will find the contrast to the culturally historic and vivid city of Napoli. Just a short trip by flying boat from Molo Beverello you can experience Ischia, Capri, Amalfi and Sorrento, which for many years have been very popular destinations, and with very good reason. You won’t find the scenic surroundings, which can somewhat pompously be describes as ‘divine’, anywhere else in the world. And then it won’t be long before you yourself get the southern Italian relaxation completely under your skin and can just enjoy the sunny sky and the scent of lemon from the liqueur Limoncello.
