EXPERIENCE BORNHOLM
Bornholm is something very special and must be said to be a 'must-see' for everyone who loves Danish history and a cozy holiday experience with the family. Whether you are for a relaxing holiday with good food and board games or an active holiday with sweat on your face, it's all to find Bornholm.
The Danish island with just over 40,000 inhabitants is located far out in the Baltic Sea together with the small archipelago, Ertholmene, of which Christiansø is a part of. The main town is called Rønne, where you also land by plane and from there you can move inland towards the many beautiful and cozy small towns, such as Svaneke and Gudhjem. Bornholm is often referred to as the Sunshine Island or the Rocky Island, due to the many rock formations found on the island - primarily out to the sea.
There are many fantastic tourist attractions to be found on Bornholm, and by car you can quickly get to most of them. Otherwise, the bike is a perfect alternative, where you experience the island in a completely different way and nature comes very close. As a tourist on Bornholm, you almost have to experience Hammershus, but also Østerlars round church, Rokkestenen and smoked herring, better known as Sol over Gudhjem.
